Hockey’s Road to Paris2024 hits midway point

 

Congratulations to the first six Men’s and Women’s Qualifying Teams

The wait is over for half the teams who will meet on hockey’s biggest stage at the Paris2024 Olympic Games next summer. With the conclusion of the hockey at the Pan American Games and the African Hockey Road to Paris 2024, 6 teams have now secured their qualification for Paris.

Direct Qualification for Continental Champions

Huge congratulations go to Australia, Netherlands, Argentina and South Africa men’s and women’s teams, and India men and China women who gained direct qualification as Continental Champions. They will join automatically-qualified hosts, France at the historical Yves de Manoir Stadium from 27 July-9 August 2024.

16 men’s and women’s teams will battle for remaining six Olympic spots

A further 16 men’s and women’s teams must wait a little longer before sealing their Olympic fate with the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers 2024 set to take place in Valencia, Spain; Muscat, Oman; and Ranchi, India; from 13-21 January 2024. The teams that finish in the top-3 of each of the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers 2024 tournaments will seal their qualification to the Olympic Games Paris 2024. With 6 women’s and men’s spots remaining, we wish all of the teams still battling for an Olympic spot the very best of luck.

The 8 men’s teams that will compete in Valencia, Spain are: Belgium, Spain, Korea, Ireland, Japan, Austria, Egypt and Ukraine.

The 8 women’s teams that will compete in Ranchi, India are: Germany, India, New Zealand, Japan, Chile, United States, Italy and Czech Republic.

The 8 women’s teams that will compete in Valencia, Spain are: Belgium, Great Britain, Spain, Korea, Ireland, Canada, Malaysia and Ukraine.
